  1. ‘authentic fall’… We had a protracted summer until today. The storms yesterday felled many of the leaves before they had changed colors. I felt kind of cheated. Your poem is a balm..

    • we had summer until Sunday–now it feels like fall–we had storms but nothing much compared to a lot of areas–sorry you feel cheated–the leaves changing colour is one of the gifts of fall

  2. I’m really enjoying your Autumn haikus, LouAnn!

  3. You can say that again! I had to find my coat again this morning.

  4. It was quite a shock to have near 80 degrees Saturday for our parade and festivities, then wake to cold temps.unfortunately autumn is probably the shortest season of all.

    • it seems to be doesn’t it — I want to grasp it and hold on to it

      • Same here. I love spring, to see everything come back to life, but there is something special about the colors and even the air in autumn.

      • there is a crispness but not yet cold to the air

  5. Today was a beautiful fall day….fall is a relief of sorts, never thought of it that way.

  6. Niiice!
