Wind howling;

Snow falling;

Birds bravely chirp,

Emerging buds shiver.

Blooms take cover

from the sharp cold ~

Spring momentarily put on hold…..

  1. Love this poem…..🌷

  2. Not put on hold for too long, I hope. This catches the volatility of this strange Spring perfectly. 🙂

  3. What beautifully serene poem, Lou! Sounds as if winter is breathing its last breath where you are. Hope you and yours are wonderful!

  4. …and Cindy cursing Mother Nature :).

  5. My fault, I fear. It snowed the day I was born and has snowed more times than not on my birthday. 😉

  6. Oh dear……. that’s not good. 😦

  7. This captures exactly the weather we are having here! Well said!

  8. May spring not be put on hold too long. Just sayin’.

  9. To quote Chaucer: “April is the cruelest month.”
