Crazy Forgiveness

A friend shared this with me on Facebook. I do not particularly understand Facebook and I hope to God I am not breaking any copyright rules, but this really spoke to me. I apologize for the little bit of unsubtle language, but it gives the whole thing some oomph don’t you think?

    It is true – and the other thing that helped me forgive some pretty horrific stuff is to realize how selfish forgiveness is – when I forgave I stopped dragging around the abuse of my past – it was like cutting a rope so I could move forward – my abusers were bat-shit crazy
