~ THREE ~ Party, party……

The New Year is fast approaching and what better way to say Goodbye to 2012 and Hello to 2013 than to have a party? Robin Coyle and I have decided to host a New Year’s Eve Party, but it will be a party with a difference.

There will be no cover charge, no BYOB, and no outlandish costumes (unless you have one you want to break out). Nope. You are granted access to this party with a positive comment or resolution (songs and dances will be accepted also—but they must be happy songs and dances).

So here is the formal invitation:

You Are Invited to a New Year’s Eve Virtual Party

Where: Here

Why: To bring in the New Year on a positive note

How: By leaving a positive comment or resolution

When: Why New Year’s Eve of course—all day and all night and into New Year’s Day

Come one, come all, and bring your most festive smiles.

Entertainment: You, Vanessa Chapman, and Rodents & Rebels

So join us for the frivolities and add whatever you think may make the party hardy!

  1. Sounds like my kind of party

  2. I’ll bring some delicious munchies! And my party hat.

(“Robin Coyle! Take off that lampshade and stop dancing on that table!”) 😉

    • munchies are good, and I should have made party hats a requirement
we made a table especially for Robin to dance on–told her not to strip though

  3. Count me in!!!

  4. Hope you have a terrific new year… Enjoy all the blessings that are coming your way xoxooxo

  5. Oooooo, exciting! Now, what’s the time difference? Lol

    Xx

    • doesn’t matter — it is on from New Year’s eve morning to New Year’s day so everyone should be able to join in–maybe 8 hours difference but not sure

  9. I will have to stop by, I haven’t gone to a New Year’s eve party since 1983! But that’s a story I’ll save for an upcoming post.

  10. Oh yes! I’ll be there! It’s my birthday too so I will get out the glad rags, find a virtual bottle or two, bring enough party hats for every one and will bring tomorrow’s beautiful things – whatever they may be!

My resolutions are to find three more lovely things every day to share with the world and not to let things get me down.

Happy New Year to you and yours 🙂

    • A virtual bottle or two will be welcome as will the party hats as I forgot them! Love your resolutions–

  11. Yaaay!!! Partaaaay!!! See you there with my song! 🙂

  12. Well that’s the only invitation I’ve received….See you New Year’s Eve…btw one of my children was born on New Year’s Eve so it holds wonderful memories…Diane

    • happy birthday to your New Year’s Eve child–and isn’t a virtual invite better cause now you do not have to be on the highway with all the crazies

  13. I’ll see what I can muster up 🙂 good idea from two fabulous ladies

  14. Oh how lovely~~a party! Will try to remember to come over for a sip of champagne tomorrow. And a positive comment or two. It may be challenging–it’s our daughter’s 27th birthday tomorrow. She was our New Year’s Eve present a long, long time ago.

    • how very cool – happy 27th to her–my eldest will be 27 in March! looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

  15. Oh – so you will be celebrating my bday too? Ahhh a party for me – you shouldn’t have – LOL
    🙂 Count me in 🙂

  16. Great job here fellow-party-giver! And yes, please make sure that table is sturdy. I hate to start off the new year with an injury AS WELL AS a hangover!

  17. What a great way to ring in the New Year! I’ll be there! 🙂

  18. Reblogged this on Robin Coyle and commented:
Let’s rock in the New Year at LouAnn’s place tomorrow night. Can’t wait to see you all. I’ll be the one wearing the lampshade at a jaunty angle on my head.

  19. I will bring Denogginizer’

  20. Can I be in bed and asleep by 10.30? 🙂

    • no problem – the party starts early and ends late, so you can come and go as you like

  21. Great idea–start off with a positive mental attitude!

  22. Hey, do Rodents and Rebels do requests? Just wondering. I have a song in mind…..

    • they have a gig that night–but we may be able to catch them–so make your request–they do boomer stuff even though they are young

      • This is it. Maybe a bit tame, but it rocks.

      • provide the link on tomorrow’s post–you don’t need R and R to do it–this is the kind of entertainment I want you to provide for the New Year’s Eve post –thanks (you are mentioned in that post btw)

      • Oh, boy. I’m a little nervous about looking at that post of yours. 😉

And I plan to post tomorrow and mention yours in the process, too. See ya.

      • nothing to be nervous about–just be sure you know what munchies you are bringing!

  23. I’ll be there wearing my new shoes and I’ll swing by the store for some fabulous cuban cigars and cuban coffee (for after the ball drops)!!!

    Happy New Year!!

    • sounds good – see you there

      • 😉

  24. I’ll bring some tunes, and I’ll wear my new boots! Can’t wait!

  25. I will bring some sweet and sour meatballs, and a cheese platter, and I will wear my sparkly stiletto heels and black party dress! Such fun!

(And hahaha on you if you actually believe I will be wearing heels – heel less slippers perhaps.) 🙂

    • forget the heels, but the meatballs and cheese platter will be a wonderful addition! I have not worn heels forever.

  26. How bout some persecco with a side of positive thought, I’ll be there.

  27. How awesome Lou, I like your kind of open house party
An all-nighter too!! You party animal you. 😉

I think your “BYOPC” is a perfect segue in to a delightful New year. I will definitely will pop on around.

  28. Yay! A Party! But I usually fall asleep before midnight……

  29. Brought some old classic Bad Company to dance to. From a few new Years Eve ago! Long ago

  30. Is it time yet? I make really great stuffed mushrooms and I’m willing to sing Auld Lang Syne alone. See you soon!

    • it is time- come to the next post and sing away–I am waiting for those mushrooms

  32. My positive would be my NYD post; it will post at 11:05pm tonight, my time. It tells how much wonderful stuff I garnered from all the posts I followed this past year. I will assume that speaking wonderfully about 129 people is considered a good, positive comment!
    Scott

    • more than good — it is positive to the max–good for you Scott and Happy New Year

  33. Can’t think of a better place to be: among some of the most creative and wonderful people in the world!
Finishing Chinese food (which we always eat New Years Eve). Here’s my fortune cookie: “A single kind word can keep one warm for years.”
Sounds like a winner to me.
May smiles and adventures wrap all of you this coming year!

  34. Late to the party, but here’s my resolution: to be a kinder person.

  35. What a terrific idea. TY for the invite and have an awesome New Year! 🙂
    Eliz
