~ ALL IS WELL ~

Bloggers make good muses! I am getting so inspired by other bloggers and what they provide on their blogs that it is hard not to use them as my muses.

Today on Misifusa’s Blog, (presenceofpresence) she offered her readers a short video featuring Louise Hay, the great inspirational and motivational author and speaker. This lovely lady is 86 and carries with her all kinds of wisdom—but today her words particularly hit home. She was being interviewed and gave some advice on how to deal with problems when they raise their ugly heads.

Ms. Hay says that when she is confronted by a problem, first she says “All is well” then follows it up with: “Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation only good will come, and I am safe.”

She says that uttering these words “quiets your inner turmoil down enough to give the universe time to give us a solution.” Now, you can define universe however you want. For me it is a combination of getting my wherewithal together, combined with a little faith and hope.

The last question she was asked in the interview was:  “Where do you go from here?”

She said: “I don’t know. Life will bring it to me.”

And that is how it goes—life provides us with the next step—all we have to do is believe that “All is well.”

  1. I needed to read this today. A breathe of fresh air with tons of feel good, optimistic sunshine. There are times when life bring us down but when we have the right tools in life, we get by better than ever. She is a remarkable woman we all can gain inspiration from. Thanks.

    • I needed it today too – nice of presenceofpresence to provide it

  2. A well placed reminder LouAnn, thanks… Love Ms. Hay and her work.

    • sometimes we need just this little bit of comfort

  3. Sometimes in the thick of a problem, it is unclear how this will work toward your highest good, I guess that’s where faith kicks in.

    • so true – agree that the thick of a problem is when we need to pause most

  4. I *LOVE* Louise Hay. I don’t subscribe to everything in her philosophy, but a lot of it has really helped me and really does work. She makes me want to have coffee with her.

    • I know, but I do not agree with everything anyone says–so I just take what works for me–and you probably do the same

      • That’s exactly what I do. You just pick and choose what makes sense to you and discard the rest.

      • 🙂

  5. I am going to check out more of this lady it is inspiring 🙂

    Cheers

  7. Wow, I didn’t realise that Louise Hay is 86 now. Bless her! 🙂

    Xx

    • still has a positive attitude

      • A lesson to us all I think 😉

        Xx

  8. Wonderful words.. all we have is now, so this is a great reminder to just allow the Universe to be…
    Thank you for the inspiration!!

    • glad I could pass on her bit of wisdom

      • 🙂

  9. i like playing things by ear myself

    • ?

      • taking life as it comes you know in music they call it playing it by ear

      • oh, now I get it – my dad played music by ear but I never heard it applied that way–I like it–taking life as it comes = playing it by ear 🙂

      • my dad would do it with his trumpet

      • very cool – my dad played almost anything that had strings except the harp and he probably could have played that if the opportunity arose — we both had talented dads

  10. Thank you so much for your kind words ~ I love being your muse! 🙂 Louise Hay is awesome…as is Florence Scovel Shinn…she was pre-You Can Heal Your Life…
I am honored that you liked my blog…I love yours as well!
    Keep inspiring us! xo

    • I like Scovel Shinn too – I discovered her a few years ago and I was glad to see you had too. You inspired me – thank you so much.

      • You made my day! I am so happy to hear that someone else knows about Florence! Have a glorious week because All Is Well! 🙂

      • let’s go with that! Scovel Shinn was before her time and a bit more pragmatic than her latter day advocates

      • Agreed. 🙂

  11. I think this is similar to the idea that everything will work out eventually. I used to get stressed over the tiniest things but after a while, figured out that everything does work itself out and, as Louise Hay says, all is well. Great reminder for all of us to keep our heads up!

  12. Florence Shovell Shinn, a blast from the past! And Louise Hay – wonderful quotes, thank you..
I love the whole of that quote from Mother Julian the medieval mystic – All is well, and all is well, and all manner of things are well….

  13. Thanks for sharing this great piece of optimisim.

  14. What a lovely inspirational post. All is well.
    I need to remember that.

  15. I love that idea–waiting for whatever life brings me.

  16. I enjoyed reading your post. I read Louise Hay’s book “You Can Heal Your Life” a couple of years ago and her words of wisdom really helped me be a stronger person, to stand up for myself when I was feeling a bit deflated and walked all over. Her book is on my bedside shelf so I can flick back through it anytime I am troubled about something or need a little pick me up. Her affirmations are great.

    • it is nice to have someone (or in this case her book) to refer back to when times are in turmoil

  17. This was a great way to start my day. I am going to look her up now.
    Lovely post.

  18. What a nice post, thanks for sharing with everyone. This made me smile.

  19. So true. What a great way of putting the insane buzzing in my head to rest. 🙂

    • glad it helps – but that buzzing is your alarm clock– your head is just fine

      • LOL! Thanks. I was thinking I might need to see a doctor. 😉

      • nope, now you know – just reach over and turn the darn thing off
